On Saturday, May 17th, 2014 the Whittington Valley Neighborhood Association held its Spring Potluck Picnic in Baseball Trail Park.  On Saturday, May 5th, 2012 the Whittington Valley Neighborhood Association held its 2012 Spring Potluck Picnic in Whittington City Park. The event was aided by abundant shade to temper the unseasonably hot weather.  Monday December 12th, 2011, the Neighborhood Association held its annual Christmas Potluck Party. The party was an opportunity for friends and neighbors to gather, share stories, as well as enjoy great food.  It felt as if the Fall colors would never arrive. Summer was hot and dry and as late as mid-October we were still enduring temperatures in the mid-80's (more than ten degrees above normal). However, by early November, the leaves began to change.

 In early 2011, three successive snowstorms blanketed the Valley in pure white, creating scenes of serene beauty. After each snowstorm, we ventured outside with our camera and took a few pictures.
We held our Christmas Potluck Party on Monday, December 13, 2010. Outside the weather was cold and blustery but inside warm hearts and hearty laughter were the rule.
One of the great things about living in the Whittington Valley is the opportunity to enjoy the colorful foliage of Fall. In October of 2010, we grabbed our camera and took a few pictures.
